Globetrotting: November 2015

Each month, Globetrotting highlights pieces of work from around the Leo Burnett global network. Check out our November selections, below.

Leo Burnett Dubai
“Tropa for Life”

Leo Burnett Dubai’s spot for telecom Du is a new take on “squad goals.” The campaign centers on the insight that within the United Arab Emirates there are many different cultures, but the Filipino community sticks together. The ad promotes Du’s “Kabayan bundle” service that is tailored to the Filipino population.

In the spot the “tropa,” the Filipino word for troop or group, challenges a taller team to a pickup game of basketball. With a hip-hop track written for the spot by local Filipino rapper Twisted, the ad shows how being part of a tropa means always sticking together.

Leo Burnett India
“Men’s Day Pe Teri Chutti”
HE Deodorants

In honor of International Men’s Day on November 19, Leo Burnett India and HE Deodorants encouraged women to show men some love via this musical spot. Women urge men to do whatever they please on the holiday including snore at night, check out the waitress at a restaurant or leave a wet towel on the bathroom floor. What a way to celebrate!

Holiday Roundup
Tis the season! Christmas ads are starting to appear and are already manipulating our emotions.

In Leo Burnett Madrid’s new animated spot “#Justino” for the Spanish Christmas Lottery, the night watchman for a mannequin manufacturer tugs at our heartstrings in a story about kindness and generosity.

Leo Burnett London and McDonald’s UK’s “Journey to Christmas” makes us smile with the memory of Christmas road trips, an integral part of the holiday season. And no road trip is complete without a sing-a-long and McDonald’s.
